Amazing contract to hire opportunity for an experienced Laser Operator to join a premier custom Job Shop on the East side!

For more than 40 years, this precision Machine Shop in Columbus has been performing sheet metal fabrication, welding, assembly and finishing for manufacturers in a wide range of industries. Laser Operator will operate a robotic laser machine to produce a variety of parts in a variety of materials This will involve loading and unloading materials, changing lenses, programming and modifying existing programs and other duties as required.  

This position is 1st shift: 7am-3:30pm Mon-Fri. Pay will be based on experience and begin at a minimum of $20/hr and is negotiable based on experience.

Requirements:
-2+ yrs laser operation experience
-Experience with Punch is a plus
-Experience performing PMs and lens changes
-Experience modifying and/or programming equipment
-Ability to identify metals
-Ability to read drawings/prints
