Heavy Equipment Operator
Trillium Construction is seeking Heavy Equipment Operators near Emporia, VA to support the foundation work for a large-scale power plant construction project.
This role is critical to the early phases of the build and requires operators who can work efficiently, safely, and with precision in a fast-paced job site environment.
Key Responsibilities
-Operate heavy equipment including loaders, skid steers, GPS dozers, excavators, and motor graders
-Perform site preparation, grading, trenching, and material movement for foundation work
-Read and interpret site plans, grade stakes, and GPS controls when applicable
-Work closely with site supervisors and crews to meet project timelines and production goals
-Conduct daily equipment inspections and maintain equipment in safe working condition
-Follow all OSHA and site-specific safety protocols at all times

Qualifications
-Proven experience operating heavy equipment on commercial or industrial construction projects
-Experience with loaders, skid steers, GPS bulldozers, excavators, and/or motor graders
-Preference for operators with multi-equipment experience, but strong experience on one or two pieces of
equipment will be considered
-Experience with GPS-controlled grading systems is a plus
-Ability to read site plans and understand grade requirements
-Strong awareness of safety procedures and job site hazards
-Pre-employment screenings
