CNC Machinist

Trillium Staffing is now seeking CNC Machinists in Cordova, CA!

Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 3:00 pm – 1:40 am (4/10 schedule)

Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00/hr + Shift Differential

About the Opportunity: We are a premier precision manufacturing partner specializing in high-growth, mission-critical industries including medical technology and robotics. We provide end-to-end engineering and manufacturing solutions for global OEMs. This is an entry-to-mid-level CNC machining role focused on producing high-quality precision components in a cost-efficient, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
-Setup & Operation: Set up and run 3-axis CNC vertical mills and/or 2-axis lathes.
-Technical Adjustments: Download programs and manage tool-offset entries; adjust feeds and speeds and perform minor on-machine program changes as required.
-Quality Control: Perform dimensional and visual inspections of parts using standard metrology tools to ensure strict adherence to tolerances.
-Maintenance: Monitor tool wear and replace tooling mid-job; perform basic preventative maintenance (coolant, way lube) to keep work areas orderly.
-Documentation: Accurately log time and job status within the company ERP system and provide clear written status reports for shift handovers.
-Secondary Ops: Perform 2nd operation steps, such as hardware installation, as needed.

Requirements
Education & Experience
-High school diploma or equivalent.
-Minimum 2 years of machining experience, with at least one year focused specifically on CNC equipment.

Technical Skills
-Controls: Functional familiarity with at least one major CNC control (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, or Mazak).
-Tooling: Strong understanding of basic machining knowledge, including feeds/speeds, material properties, and tooling types.
-Inspection: Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, height gages, pin gages, and thread gages.
-Standards: Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and familiarity with surface finish callouts.
-Math: Ability to perform shop arithmetic, including basic trigonometry.
-Ability to lift/exert up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly to move objects.
