AEC Electrical Engineer
Trillium is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer in Indianapolis!
This full-time, direct-hire opportunity puts you in the driver’s seat as a key technical contributor on innovative building projects that emphasize performance, sustainability, and smart design. You’ll play an integral role in shaping electrical systems from concept through construction while working alongside a highly collaborative team of architects, engineers, and consultants.
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with K-12 institutional design experience who enjoys solving complex design challenges, values interdisciplinary collaboration, and is motivated by creating efficient, future-ready building systems. This role offers hands-on involvement across all project phases, providing the opportunity to grow technically while contributing to meaningful, community impacting work.
Responsibilities:
-Design and engineer electrical systems including lighting, lighting controls, power distribution, photovoltaic systems, and fire alarm systems across a variety of building types
-Incorporate sustainable and high-performance design strategies to enhance energy efficiency, resiliency, and long-term system performance
-Support early planning and schematic design efforts, including facility assessments and master planning, with a strong focus on code compliance
-Collaborate closely with architectural, mechanical, plumbing, structural, and civil partners to deliver fully coordinated designs
-Participate in construction administration activities, including site visits, responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and supporting field coordination
-Develop accurate, buildable construction documents in Revit, including calculations and documentation required for code and LEED compliance
Schedule is Monday – Friday / 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Annual salary is $120,000+ depending on what you bring to the team!

-Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
-Relevant experience in electrical design for K-12 or institutional facilities
-LEED accreditation or other sustainability credentials preferred
-Working proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
-Solid command of Microsoft Office tools
-Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate across diverse teams
