Vinyl Technician

Trillium Staffing is seeking Vinyl Technicians for a local company. 

Hours: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm M-F
$18 - $19 an hour depending on experience

Essential Job Duties:
-Measure, cut, and laminate vinyl or other materials to specified sizes for sign faces.
-Perform vinyl application using both wet and dry techniques on various materials.
-Operate and maintain equipment such as vinyl rollers, laminators, plotters, and digital printers.
-Ensure signs are properly labeled with the correct job numbers.
-Follow safety guidelines and assist in maintaining a safe working environment.
-Report any accidents or safety hazards to the supervisor.
-Operate plotters using computer software and manage job travelers/blueprints as needed.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support other departments as needed.
-Assist in managing inventory levels and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications:
-High School Diploma or GED required.
-Previous experience operating hand tools and basic machinery.
-Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.

Skills and Abilities:
-Ability to read and interpret a tape measure, scale ruler, and blueprints.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
-Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
-Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
-Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds), climbing ladders, and crawling on knees.
-Basic math skills, including working with fractions and calculating square footage.
-Knowledge of sign fabrication materials and processes is preferred.
-Willingness to learn and apply lean manufacturing concepts.

Working Conditions:
-You will be required to wear safety glasses at all times and often cut resistant gloves.
- Work may involve repetitive motions and lifting up to 50 pounds.
-Physical tasks include bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, and crawling.
-The work environment may include exposure to temperature fluctuations, noise, and humidity.
-Hearing protection may be required in certain areas.
-The position may require standing for extended periods of time.
