Operations Manager
Trillium Staffing is now seeking an Operations Manager for direct-hire in Grand Blanc, MI!
The Deposit Operations Manager leads the day-to-day operations of the deposit functions, ensuring all processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, supporting product development, and delivering a high level of service across the organization.
This individual will collaborate cross-functionally to implement new products and services, support strategic initiatives, and ensure deposit operations align with overall business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Process Management
* Oversee daily deposit operations to ensure timely, accurate processing of all deposit-related activities
* Manage account maintenance, including updates, corrections, documentation review, and quality control
* Monitor account activity for irregularities and escalate concerns as needed
* Oversee inactive and dormant account processes, including member communication and compliance with unclaimed property laws
* Direct the escheatment process to ensure accurate reporting and remittance of unclaimed funds
Product Management & Strategy
* Lead the development, design, testing, and pricing of deposit products
* Conduct market analysis and competitive benchmarking to position products effectively
* Ensure all product implementations are tested end-to-end across systems
* Develop and execute deposit growth strategies aligned with organizational goals
* Manage deposit-related budgets, including growth and non-interest fee income
Compliance & Risk Management
* Ensure all deposit operations comply with applicable federal and state regulations (e.g., Reg CC, Reg D, Reg E, BSA/AML)
* Oversee the accuracy and compliance of disclosures, forms, and member communications
* Manage the Overdraft Privilege program, ensuring regulatory adherence
* Partner with Compliance, Risk, and Audit teams to support audits and regulatory exams
* Maintain up-to-date policies, procedures, and documentation standards
Reporting & Financial Oversight
* Produce and analyze monthly and periodic reports to ensure data integrity and performance tracking
* Collaborate with leadership to align deposit strategy with overall financial planning and branch goals
* Manage and optimize deposit account fee structures to support financial objectives
Vendor & Program Management
* Manage relationships with third-party vendors, including service providers and program partners
* Serve as IRA Administrator, overseeing account setup, distributions, and regulatory compliance
* Ensure all vendor-supported processes meet operational and compliance standards
Leadership & Team Development
* Lead, coach, and develop the deposit operations team
* Set performance expectations and foster a collaborative, high-performing environment
* Provide guidance and support to branch and back-office teams on procedures, systems, and complex account issues
Additional Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate and current procedure manuals
* Support cross-functional initiatives and organizational projects
* Travel occasionally for meetings, training, or company events
* Promote organizational products and services and maintain a professional brand image
* Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Experience:
* Experience in deposit operations, banking, or credit union environment
* Strong knowledge of deposit regulations and compliance requirements
* Proven leadership and team management experience
* Experience with product development, pricing, and financial analysis
* Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
