Maintenance Technician
Maintenance Technicians needed in Stow, OH!
A growing metals manufacturing and distribution facility in Stow, Ohio is seeking experienced Industrial Maintenance Technicians to join their team on 1st and 2nd shifts!
Shift Information:
1st Shift, 5am - 2:30pm
2nd Shift, 2pm-12:30am
Must be available for OT on Saturdays
Pay rate is $26 - $35 per hour, DOE.
$1/hr shift premium available on 2nd shift
Technicians will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts, lifts, grinders, coil processing machines, slitters, and cut-to-length equipment, along with general facility infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain production equipment including hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, including root-cause analysis on automated equipment
- Support preventative maintenance programs on cranes, lifts, powered industrial trucks, and other plant equipment
- Perform welding and fabrication work to repair machine components, guards, fixtures, and structural supports
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems up to 600 VAC, including motors, drives, relays, and contactors
- Assist with facility maintenance, including lighting, compressors, plumbing, and general infrastructure
- Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, feeler gauges, and depth gauges during repairs and setups
- Maintain accurate maintenance records while adhering to safety and quality procedures
Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting
- Ability to use precision measurement tools and apply measurements during mechanical repairs
- Experience working with PLC-controlled equipment
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Exposure to steel processing or heavy industrial equipment is a plus
