Low Voltage Electrician - Per Diem Offered
Trillium Construction is now seeking a Fiber Optic Low Voltage Technician in Goodyear, AZ!
The Fiber Technician is responsible for the installation, termination, testing, and troubleshooting of fiber optic cabling systems on commercial and mission-critical construction projects. This role supports field operations by ensuring high-quality, code-compliant fiber infrastructure aligned with project specifications and schedules.
Key Responsibilities
-Install, route, and secure fiber optic cables (single-mode and multi-mode) in accordance with project drawings and specifications
-Perform fiber splicing, termination, and connectorization (fusion and mechanical)
-Conduct testing using OTDR, power meters, and light sources; interpret and document results
-Troubleshoot and repair fiber optic systems, identifying faults and performance issues
-Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and one-line diagrams
-Maintain accurate test records, labeling, and as-built documentation
-Ensure all work complies with industry standards (TIA/EIA, BICSI) and site safety requirements
-Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and other trades to meet deadlines
-Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in safe working condition
Pay rate is $27-30 per hour Depending on Experience.

-$90 daily per diem for days worked

Qualifications
-2–5+ years of experience in fiber optic installation in commercial or industrial environments
-Proficiency in fusion splicing and fiber testing equipment (OTDR, power meter)
-Ability to read construction drawings and telecom schematics
-Familiarity with structured cabling systems and pathways (tray, conduit, innerduct)
-Strong understanding of safety procedures in active construction sites
-BICSI certification (Installer/Technician) preferred
-OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
-Must be wiling to travel from Arizona or home state to either Texas or Arkansas based on where the work is needed
