Quality Inspector
Trillium is seeking a Quality Inspector for a metal manufacturing facility in Montgomery, IL.
This position supports production and quality operations by inspecting aluminum and polished metal components to ensure they meet internal and customer quality standards.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with overtime opportunities and strong potential for long-term, contract-to-hire employment.
Pay rate is $23.50/hour on 1st shift and $24.50/hour on 2nd shift. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with benefits available up on hire including Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k). Schedule is 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM on 1st shift and 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM on 2nd shift. There will be 2 weeks of training on 1st Shift, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM for all openings.
Key Responsibilities
-Inspect aluminum and polished metal materials for: Scratches, dents, surface defects, and polishing inconsistencies; Dimensional accuracy and finish uniformity
-Ensure adherence to visual and measurement-based quality standards
-Accurately document inspection results and production data
-Use measuring tools and math skills to verify dimensions, count parts, and complete logs
-Communicate quality issues with production and quality teams
Support continuous quality improvement efforts
-Operate machinery as required in support of inspection and production activities

Required Qualifications
-Must be able to accurately read and use a measuring tape (critical skill)
-Strong working knowledge of fractions and decimals
-Minimum 2 years of experience in quality inspection or operating industrial/manufacturing machinery
-At least 2 years of experience or exposure working with metals, aluminum, or polishing processes
-Ability to understand English and Spanish
-Comfortable using computers for data entry and tracking
-Ability to lift, carry, and push 50–70 lbs consistently throughout the shift
-Willingness to work overtime, including 10–12 hour shifts as needed
-Must wear metatarsal (met) boots
Preferred Qualifications
-Forklift or Hilo experience (preferred but not required)
