Construction Laborer

Trillium Construction is seeking General Laborers near Desoto, KS. 

Work is performed in groups of approximately 25 employees in a physically demanding environment, often in cold, rainy, and muddy conditions. This role involves unloading, unpacking, inspecting, and transporting equipment within a laydown yard.

Key Responsibilities
•    Work as part of a team to unload, uncrate, and unpack incoming equipment and materials 
•    Safely transport equipment to designated staging areas and hand off to transport teams 
•    Perform basic inspections of equipment for damage or discrepancies 
•    Maintain a clean and organized laydown yard 
•    Follow all safety protocols and site procedures at all times 
•    Assist with general labor tasks as assigned 

Equipment Used: 
•    55-ton forklifts 
•    46K capacity forklifts 
•    15K capacity forklifts 
•    Forklifts with 8-foot forks 

Pay rate is $22/hour. Schedule: Mon - Fri and weekends as needed, 50h+ / week.

Qualifications
•    Ability to pass pre-employment screenings
•    Ability to perform heavy physical labor in outdoor conditions 
•    Strong teamwork and communication skills 
•    Forklift experience preferred but not required (certification a plus) 
•    Reliable transportation and punctuality required 
•    Commitment to safety and following directions 
•    Must be able to lift 50+ lbs regularly 
•    Must be willing to work in adverse weather conditions 
•    PPE required to be worn (hard hat, steel-toe boots, high-visibility vest, etc.)

Preferred Certifications
•    RT Forklift
•    OSHA 10
