Supplier Quality & Industrialization Engineer

Trillium Professional has a temp-to-hire opportunity for a Supplier Quality & industrialization Engineer in Clear Lake, WI!

Annual salary is $125,000 - $135,000, based on experience and skill set. Will consider stellar candidates who meet and exceed the requirements of the role for higher salary.

We are seeking a high-caliber engineer to provide hands-on, on-site support at a leading aerospace manufacturing supplier. This is not a desk job; you will work directly on the manufacturing floor, collaborating with operators, technicians, and engineers, and applying your expertise to transform supplier processes and ensure the highest quality standards for flight-critical electronic assemblies.

Candidate will take the lead on process improvements, technical inspections, and supplier corrective actions, particularly focused on Parylene and conformal coating. This is a chance to directly influence production quality, mentor supplier teams, and ensure every assembly meets rigorous safety standards.

What You’ll Do
- Lead process turnaround initiatives for PCBA manufacturing and assembly, improving Parylene application and coating quality.
- Inspect assemblies for coating integrity, identifying and mitigating defects like ingress, flux contamination, or adhesion issues.
- Develop and validate robust Corrective Actions to implement sustainable, long-term process improvements.
- Facilitate communication between suppliers and internal teams during New Product Introduction (NPI).
- Provide hands-on engineering guidance on the manufacturing floor, working alongside operators and source inspectors.
- Conduct audits to ensure supplier performance, delivery, and reliability meet strict aerospace standards.

Required Qualifications
- BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years in industrial, process, or supplier quality engineering.
- Expertise in PCBA, PCB, and electronic manufacturing processes; familiarity with SMT lines.
- Proven ability to identify coating defects (ingress, voids, adhesion issues).
- Experience with IPC-A-610 or similar standards for electronic assembly acceptability.
- Strong leadership skills and tactical, hands-on problem-solving mindset.
- Comfortable working on the manufacturing floor, interacting with processes, machinery, and personnel daily.

Preferred Qualifications
- Aerospace or automotive quality experience.
- Hands-on experience with Parylene deposition and masking techniques.
- Root-cause oriented “fixer” mentality; enjoys coaching suppliers and implementing sustainable solutions.
