Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician position available in the Howell, Michigan area working at our client location who is an established manufacturing company.

This is a direct hire or potential contract to hire opportunity. Pay rate is $25.00 an hour. First shift position, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. M-F. Must be available for OT if needed. The Maintenance Technician will support daily plant operations by performing electrical maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize production downtime and ensure efficient manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities for the Maintenance Technician position:
-Perform electrical and electronic maintenance on manufacturing equipment (motors, drives, PLCs, panels, wiring).
-Diagnose and repair equipment issues and respond quickly to breakdowns.
-Complete scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery.
-Assist with installation of new equipment, including electrical cabling and panel setup.
-Maintain maintenance schedules and identify spare parts needs.
-Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout.
-Maintain a clean and organized work area and support team operations.
-Participate in on-call support and overtime as needed.
-Includes facility work, upkeep on compressor filters, pm schedules etc.

Qualifications for the Maintenance Technician position:
-Must have hydraulic, electrical and blue print experience.
-3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent training.
-Strong electrical troubleshooting skills and knowledge of manufacturing equipment.
-Good communication and organizational skills.
