Controls Engineer

Trillium Construction is now seeking a Controls Engineer (PLC Programmer) for a contract placement lasting 2-3 months in Fort Wayne!

Pay rate is $35–$40/hr (DOE). We are currently seeking a Controls Engineer with strong PLC programming experience to assist with an influx of work over the next 2–3 months. This role will focus on Rockwell Automation PLC programming using Studio 5000 within a large industrial machining and manufacturing environment working with large presses and heavy machinery. There will be minimal travel.

Responsibilities:
-Develop and modify PLC programs using Studio 5000 (Rockwell Automation)
-Support controls for large industrial presses and machining equipment
-Troubleshoot and optimize existing automation systems
-Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure system performance
-Provide occasional on-site support and limited travel if required

-Experience with PLC programming using Studio 5000 / Rockwell Automation
-Background in machine manufacturing or heavy industrial environments
-Ability to troubleshoot and modify existing PLC logic
-Controls engineering experience preferred (Senior-level candidates encouraged)
