Logistics Safety Manager

Trillium Drivers is now seeking a Logistics Safety Manager for direct-hire in Cincinnati!

Annual salary is $80,000 – $90,000 per year. We are seeking an experienced Logistics Safety Manager for a Direct Hire Opportunity to oversee safety operations for a large-scale construction logistics project based in Cincinnati, Ohio, supporting projects throughout the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky region. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs related to transportation, jobsite logistics, and fleet operations while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.

The Logistics Safety Manager will work closely with site leadership, transportation teams, project managers, and drivers to maintain a safe and efficient work environment on active construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
-Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs related to logistics, transportation, and construction site operations.
-Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety policies and procedures.
-Conduct routine safety inspections of job sites, vehicles, equipment, and operational areas.
-Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports and implement corrective actions.
-Lead safety meetings, training sessions, and safety orientations for drivers, logistics personnel, and site staff.
-Monitor driver safety performance including hours of service, vehicle inspections, and regulatory compliance.
-Maintain safety documentation including incident reports, training records, and compliance logs.
-Collaborate with project managers and logistics coordinators to ensure safe traffic flow, delivery scheduling, and staging of materials on active construction sites.
-Manage and track fleet safety requirements including maintenance records, inspections, and regulatory documentation.
-Serve as the primary point of contact for safety concerns across the logistics and transportation operations.
-Promote a proactive safety culture and continuously identify opportunities to improve safety performance.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Construction Management, Logistics, or related field preferred (equivalent experience will be considered).
-3–5+ years of experience in logistics safety, construction safety, transportation safety, or a related field.
-Strong knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations.
-Experience working in construction, transportation, or logistics environments.
-Ability to investigate incidents and implement effective corrective actions.
-Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
-Proficiency with safety documentation, reporting systems, and compliance tracking.
-Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between project sites within the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky region.

Preferred Qualifications:
-OSHA 30 Certification
-CHST, CSP, or other safety certifications
-Experience managing safety programs for fleet or transportation operations
-Experience working on large construction or infrastructure projects
