SME Electrical Engineer
Trillium Professional is now seeking a Subject Matter Expert Electrical Engineer for direct-hire in Phoenix!
Base Salary: $180,000 – $215,000. The Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Electrical Engineer provides end-to-end technical ownership of electrical systems across hyperscale and AI-focused data center projects, from early design and construction through commissioning and long-term operations.
This role is intentionally structured to begin within Construction, supporting active builds as the electrical authority, and then transition into Operations once sites are commissioned. The SME ensures continuity, knowledge transfer, and long-term reliability by remaining accountable for electrical design intent, construction quality, and operational performance.

Required Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (required).
-10+ years of experience in mission-critical or large-scale electrical systems (data centers, industrial, power infrastructure).
-Strong experience supporting both construction execution and ongoing facility operations.
-Deep knowledge of critical power infrastructure and high-availability environments.
-Working knowledge of U.S. and Canadian electrical codes and standards.
-Willingness and ability to travel to active sites.
Preferred Qualifications
-Professional Engineer (PE) license.
-Hyperscale, AI, or high-density data center experience.
-Experience bridging construction and operations teams.
-Familiarity with commissioning processes and reliability modeling.
