Data Center Technician

Trillium Staffing is now seeking a Data Center Technician for direct-hire in Phoenix!

Hourly Rate: $33.00 – $43.00.

As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for the physical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of infrastructure within our data center facilities. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our data center operations.

Responsibilities:
-Install and maintain data center infrastructure including servers, racks, networking equipment, and storage devices.
-Perform structured cabling installations and maintenance to ensure optimal connectivity and organization within the data center environment.
-Diagnose and resolve hardware and cabling issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and maintain uninterrupted operations.
-Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and performance of data center equipment.
-Maintain accurate records of equipment installations, configurations, and maintenance activities for reference and audit purposes.
-Coordinate with other teams including network engineers, system administrators, and facilities personnel to support data center operations and projects.
-Follow industry best practices and standards for data center operations, including safety protocols and security measures.
-Respond to data center emergencies and outages as needed, including after-hours and on-call support.

-High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or relevant college degree preferred.
-Min 5 years or experience (preferred)
-Prior experience in data center operations, infrastructure installation, or related field.
-Proficiency in structured cabling techniques and standards.
-Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware issues.
-Familiarity with data center equipment including servers, switches, and storage devices.
-Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
-Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
-Willingness to work flexible hours and participate in on-call rotation as needed.
-Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs).
-Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
