Quality Control Manager
Trillium Construction is now seeking a Quality Control Manager for work in Fountain City, WI / Winona, MN or Spiro, OK / Ft. Smith, AR.
Salary Range: $95,000 – $112,000 annually + benefits. Employment Type: Full-Time (project-based schedule). Work starts ASAP!
The Quality Control (QC) Manager will oversee quality management activities on a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) construction project. This role is responsible for ensuring all work performed onsite complies with project specifications, quality standards, and contract requirements.
The QC Manager will work closely with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and Site Safety & Health Officer to ensure proper documentation, inspection, and compliance with project quality control procedures.
This position requires the QC Manager to be present onsite whenever construction work is being performed. Work may include exposure to heights and requires successful completion of a pre-employment physical and drug screening.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control & Documentation
-Complete and maintain Quality Control Daily Reports.
-Receive, review, and maintain QC inspection documentation and records.
-Verify product and material dimensions to ensure alignment with shop drawings and field conditions.
-Interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and specifications to confirm quality standards are met.
Inspection & Compliance
-Read and understand codes and standards related to blasting, painting, welding, and bolting.
-Ensure project work complies with contract specifications and USACE quality requirements.
-Coordinate inspections and address quality issues with project leadership.
Coordination & Communication
-Work closely with project supervision, safety personnel, and site management.
-Interface with government representatives and inspectors.
-Communicate quality standards and expectations to field teams and subcontractors.

Requirements
-USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) Certification (Required)
-5+ years of construction experience (MN/WI project)
-10+ years of construction experience (OK/AR project)
-High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred
-Experience working on USACE projects preferred
-Experience with USACE RMS 3 software or ability to learn
-Ability to read and interpret contract specifications and shop fabrication drawings
-Strong communication and coordination skills
Preferred Certifications
-AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
-AMPP Certified Coatings Inspector (CIP Level 2)
Preferred Experience
-Installing or repairing steel structures (bridges, dams, tanks, etc.)
-Steel coatings application and abrasive blasting
-Working with structural steel, welding, and protective coatings
