Concrete Superintendent

Trillium Construction is now seeking a Concrete Superintendent in Manhattan, NY for a direct-hire opportunity!

Salary: $175,000 – $250,000 (depending on experience). Work Authorization: Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

We are seeking an experienced Concrete Superintendent to lead field operations on a major infrastructure project in Manhattan. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all on-site concrete construction activities to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications and quality standards.

The Concrete Superintendent will work closely with project management teams, subcontractors, and field personnel to deliver high-quality concrete structures while maintaining strict safety and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities
-Oversee all phases of concrete construction including foundations, slabs, walls, structural concrete, and finishing
-Plan daily and weekly work activities while coordinating labor, equipment, and materials
-Supervise field crews and subcontractors to ensure productivity, safety, and quality standards are met
-Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations; conduct safety meetings and jobsite inspections
-Review project drawings and specifications to ensure accurate execution of work
-Coordinate with project managers and engineers to resolve field issues and maintain project schedules
-Monitor project progress and provide updates on schedule, manpower, and productivity
-Ensure proper installation of formwork systems, reinforcement, embeds, and concrete placement
-Manage quality control and inspection processes throughout construction
-Maintain accurate jobsite documentation including daily reports, manpower logs, and material tracking
-Participate in project meetings and coordinate with other trades to minimize conflicts and delays
-Support overall project goals related to safety, schedule, quality, and cost control

Qualifications
7+ years of experience in concrete construction, with at least 3 years in a superintendent or supervisory role
Required experience working on large city metro / transit infrastructure projects
Must have experience working for a General Contractor (GC)
Strong knowledge of concrete forming systems, reinforcement, placement, and finishing techniques
Experience managing large-scale commercial or heavy civil concrete projects preferred
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of construction safety standards and OSHA regulations
Experience with construction scheduling and project management software tools
High school diploma or equivalent required; construction-related degree preferred
