Transportation Manager

Trillium Drivers is now seeking a Transportation Manager for direct-hire in New Albany, OH!

Key Responsibilities
Project & Site Logistics Management
-Oversee logistics operations supporting active building projects across Cincinnati and Northern KY.
-Coordinate material deliveries, equipment staging, and jobsite access to prevent delays.
-Work closely with project managers, superintendents, vendors, and subcontractors.
-Develop and adjust delivery schedules based on project timelines and field conditions.
-Identify and resolve logistical bottlenecks impacting construction progress.

Driver & Dispatcher Management
-Supervise and lead company drivers and dispatch personnel.
-Build and manage daily/weekly driver schedules based on project needs.
-Ensure efficient routing and equipment utilization.
-Conduct performance evaluations and ongoing driver coaching.
-Address driver concerns, incidents, and disciplinary matters.
-Maintain adequate staffing coverage during peak project phases.

Fleet & Asset Management
-Maintain complete fleet records including:
-Preventative maintenance schedules
-Repairs and service history
-DOT inspections

Registrations and licensing
-Coordinate fleet maintenance to minimize downtime.
-Monitor fuel usage, expenses, and cost controls.
-Oversee timekeeping and ensure payroll accuracy.
-Track and manage equipment assigned to projects.

Compliance & Safety
-Ensure full compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations.
-Enforce Hours of Service requirements.
-Maintain accurate driver qualification files.
-Lead safety meetings and promote a safety-first culture on job sites.
-Investigate incidents and ensure proper documentation.
-Ensure all drivers pass required background checks and drug screens.

Administrative & Financial Oversight
-Approve timesheets and manage labor allocation.
-Monitor operating budgets and control transportation costs.
-Prepare reports for leadership regarding performance, expenses, and project logistics.
-Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce risk.

Qualifications
Required:
-Valid Class A CDL.
—5+ years of transportation/logistics management experience.
Experience supporting construction or building project logistics strongly preferred.
-Proven leadership experience managing drivers and dispatch teams.
-Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
-Experience managing fleet maintenance records and compliance documentation.
-Proficiency in TMS systems and Microsoft Office.
-Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
-Ability to work flexible hours based on project demands.
-Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Preferred Skills
-Multi-site operational management experience.
-Budget management and cost control experience.
-Experience coordinating logistics in urban construction environments.
