CNC Programmer

CNC Programmer position available in the Dexter, Michigan area working at our client location who is growing manufacturer.

This is a contract to hire opportunity. Starting pay rate is $24.00 an hour DOE. Day shift position. 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday. OT as needed. Will program and set up CNC machines to produce high-quality parts efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities for the CNC Programmer:
-Program and set up CNC lathes (Tsugami Swiss experience preferred)
-Develop CNC processes (tooling, workholding, feeds/speeds, M/G code programming)
-Produce quality parts while maintaining production targets
-Read and interpret blueprints and customer specifications
-Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, depth mics, pin gages, comparators, and other measuring tools
-Change tools, drills, and inserts as needed
-Perform basic machine cleaning, oiling, and maintenance
-Keep machines stocked with required materials
-Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements for the CNC Programmer:
-High school diploma plus 1–3 years of CNC experience (or equivalent)
-Prior CNC programming experience required
-Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills
-Basic computer skills
-Mechanically and mathematically inclined
-Self-motivated and willing to learn
-Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
