VITA Community Coordinator
Trillium Staffing is seeking a VITA Community Coordinator for a direct-hire placement in Battle Creek!
The general objective of the Vita Community Coordinator is to ensure quality and uniform delivery of Volunteer Income Tax Assistant program and follow guidelines from the IRS on the VITA program in accordance with role.
Essential Duties of the VITA Community Coordinator:
-Ensure continuous improvement of VITA Program.
-Ensure all volunteers and staff working have the appropriate level of certification.
-Actively ensure quality, communication, and collaboration with the IRS.
-Set up and administer tax preparation software.
-Manage Vita training sessions.
-Maintain files and records.
-Collaborate with workforce development team members to achieve service and program development goals.
-Coordinate all programming and logistics matters for tax preparation program.
Salary is $68K - $74K/year. Schedule is 1st shift, Monday - Friday, Candidate must be flexible. The position requires candidate to travel by automobile for meetings and training.

Required skills of the Vita Community Coordinator:
-Ability to recruit volunteers.
-Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with a diverse population of volunteers, clients, and community members.
-Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, ands Outlook).
-Must be able to work flexible schedule.
-Must be positive, helpful, and professional.
Education and Experience:
-Associate’s degree or similar practical job experience.
-Two years’ experience of applicable experience in preparing taxes or similar roll.
