Diesel Mechanic - Per Diem Offered
Trillium is now seeking highly skilled Diesel Mechanic for long term work in the Gallup, NM area and also for work around Arizona!!
This could lead to a long-term hire with a very reputable company based out of MT and WA but works all over the US! The company is a heavy civil and demolition company that works a lot of decommissioning and environmental restoration jobs. The company is looking for a skilled Mechanic that has the ability to travel between two long term projects in AZ and NM. Will be critical in maintaining and repairing heavy equipment to the projects. Both are old former mines that have been reclaimed and are being graded out. Most of the equipment being used is CAT and KOMATSU. Loaders, excavators, dozers.
Schedule is 6 10 hour days Mon-Sat. Pay is negotiable between $35-$42 DOE and qualifications. Per diem of $125/day all 7 days is available. Company may ask for candidates to be trained for a week or two at their main corporate office in MT if necessary. However, candidates will shadow existing Senior Diesel Mechanic for the first month or two until April/May.
Job Duties:
-Will be responsible for Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of heavy equipment used on sites.
-Will perform regular and scheduled maintenance of equipment.
-Conduct operational tests and safety checks, fuel, lubricate, and inspect machines.
-Must be able to read and interpret manuals, safety plans, and schematics.
-Will need to coordinate parts and supply orders as needed.
-May have to drive and operate some of the trucks/equipment as required.

Requirements for the positions are:
- 5+ years of direct experience as a field or equipment mechanic.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to move, lift, and perform physicals tasks in field conditions.
- Valid DL and CDL is preferred.
- Familiar with reading manuals, safety data sheets (MSDS), and technical instructions.
- Basic math skills
- Adaptability with travel and work schedules
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Should be able to obtain HAZWOPER certification.
- Experience in environmental construction or demolition-related projects
