The CMM Programmer/Operator plays a vital part in ensuring engineered components meet customer and regulatory requirements for aerospace and defense manufacturing. The role works closely
Responsibilities will include:
• Programming, setting up, and running CMM equipment in accordance with established best practices to meet internal quality standards and customer specifications.
• Inspecting and confirming critical part dimensions using CMM systems along with mechanical and optical measurement tools.
• Conducting CMM programming, setup, data analysis, and inspections for in-process parts, first articles, incoming materials, and completed products.
• Coordinating and prioritizing CMM inspection activities to support production schedules and on-time delivery.
• Validating that inspected components meet all dimensional requirements and documenting any nonconformances using appropriate secondary measurement methods.
• Completing first piece and in-process inspections, communicating results promptly to machinists, operators, engineers, and programmers.
• Partnering with engineering, programming, and manufacturing teams to identify and resolve dimensional and measurement-related issues.
• Recording inspection data and maintaining accurate quality documentation, including inspection reports, FAIs, nonconformance reports, and supporting records.
• Performing routine calibration checks and verification of inspection and measurement equipment to ensure continued accuracy and reliability.
• Providing training and guidance to employees on CMM operation, inspection methods, and proper handling of measurement tools.
The CMM Programmer/Operator is a 1st shift position, Monday through Friday, 7am – 5pm. Employees should expect to work 40-45 hours per week. Pay will range from $31-$44/hour based on experience. This position is full-time, direct hire, and offers a competitive benefits package. A relocation package can be offered for out of state candidates.

Qualifications
• HSD or GED with additional education, training, or coursework in Metrology, Robotics, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering Technology, or a related field and/or relevant work experience
• Experience working in a machine shop or manufacturing environment; aerospace and defense industry preferred
• Ability to operate CMM equipment with minimal supervision, including selecting appropriate inspection tools and verifying part conformance
• Experience with PC-DMIS CMM software preferred
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and related regulatory and technical documentation
• Working knowledge and understanding of GD&T
• Familiarity with metrology principles, microscopy, and the use of precision measuring instruments, hand tools, and power tools preferred
• Demonstrated strong mechanical and technical aptitude
