Plumbing Systems Designer
Trillium is seeking a Plumbing Systems Designer in Indianapolis!
This Direct-Hire opportunity is looking for an experienced Plumbing Systems Designer to join a collaborative Architecture & Engineering (A/E) firm known for designing innovative, sustainable, and technically advanced plumbing systems. The role offers the chance to directly impact complex projects—particularly in the K–12 education sector—while working alongside talented architects and engineers who value precision, creativity, and continuous growth.

Responsibilities:
-Design and coordinate plumbing systems using Revit for diverse building projects.
-Develop system layouts, sizing, and equipment selections aligned with A/E and code standards.
-Prepare construction drawings and support field installations for quality assurance.
-Collaborate across disciplines to achieve integrated, sustainable design outcomes.
-Manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining technical excellence.
This is a hybrid position — 3 days in-office per week. First 6 months: in-office for training and team integration, then flexible remote options (up to 2 days/week). Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Pay Range:
-4–5 years’ experience: $75K–$85K
-5+ years with A/E + K–12 background: $85K–$95K

-Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
-4–10+ years of professional plumbing design experience.
-Experience within an A/E firm and K–12 project design strongly preferred.
-Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD) credential a plus.
-Strong, stable work history (2+ years per prior position).
-Proficient in Revit (AutoCAD helpful).
-Knowledge of ASHRAE, ASPE, and local plumbing codes.
-Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
-Passion for sustainable design and continual professional growth.
