Saw Operator
A well-established metals manufacturing and distribution facility in the Little Rock area is currently hiring a Saw Operator (Band Saw) for 2nd Shift.
2nd Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
* Overtime may be required based on production demands
* Initial training will take place on 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) for approximately two weeks
Pay rate is $24.00 per hour.
The Saw Operator is responsible for accurately cutting material according to work orders, drawings, and specifications while maintaining high quality and safety standards. This role supports production by preparing materials for customer orders and ensuring efficient workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate band saw equipment to cut material to precise dimensions
- Verify finished cuts meet quality standards and specifications
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Follow all safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment
- Pick, stage, and prepare feedstock for production and order fulfillment
- Break down bulk material into customer-specific quantities
- Package materials according to order requirements
- Operate sit-down or side-loader forklifts as needed
- Complete required documentation and confirm work orders using SAP or similar systems
- Maintain productivity targets for finished goods
- Perform additional duties as assigned; responsibilities may change as business needs evolve

Qualifications
- Ability to pass a skills assessment covering reading comprehension, basic math, measurement, inspection, attention to detail, and problem-solving
- At least 2 years of related experience preferred (Metals experience is a definite plus!)
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including vision, hearing, and mobility standards
- Ability to lift 50 lbs fairly consistently throughout shift.
