Concrete Worker - Per Diem Offered

Skilled Artistic/Decorative Concrete Journeyman needed in Des Moines, IA with hands-on experience in shotcrete and artistic concrete applications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background creating scenic, decorative, or themed concrete structures.

This project is on the banks of the Des Moines River for Iowa DOT and the County. Placing shotcrete is the MAIN scope of work.

Responsibilities:
-Apply shotcrete and sculpt decorative concrete
-Carve and shape concrete for scenic/themed designs
-Tie rebar and set forms
-Use hand, steel tying, and carving tools safely

Pay is $34-$38/hr DOE, plus $125/all 7 days per diem. Starts week of 2/2/2026, 4-6 Week duration, 40-50 hrs/week.

Requirements:
-Proven experience in artistic, decorative, or scenic concrete
-MUST be proficient with shotcrete and concrete finishing as this will be the main scope of work
-Own PPE, hand tools, steel tying, and carving tools
-MUST be able to pass pre-employment screenings.

Preferred:
-Experience with zoo, theme park, or themed projects
-Ability to read plans and follow instructions
