Trillium Staffing is looking for a Fleet Maintenance Shop Manager. This position oversees all fleet maintenance operations for the shop and is responsible for supervising a team of mechanics and shop personnel, ensuring safe and efficient repair practices, managing preventative maintenance schedules, and maintaining the overall condition, reliability, and compliance of the company’s fleet of collection vehicles, heavy equipment, and support assets.
Key responsibilities include:
• Managing and supervising a team of mechanics, technicians, and shop staff, including hiring, scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
• Overseeing all repair and maintenance activities, ensuring timely and accurate diagnostics, repairs, and documented work orders.
• Developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs.
• Monitoring fleet performance.
The Fleet Maintenance Shop Manager is a 1st shift position, Monday through Friday, 6am – 5pm. The salary ranges is $95,000/year and a competitive benefits package is offered. This position is full-time and direct hire.

Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in fleet, diesel, or heavy equipment maintenance required; experience in waste/transportation, heavy truck, or construction equipment industries preferred
• 2+ years of supervisory or management experience in a maintenance environment
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy equipment diagnostics
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs and maintenance software systems
• Class B CDL, ASE certifications, or OEM training preferred
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
