Trillium Professional has a direct hire opportunity for a Director of Sales and Marketing.

This role will require approximately 10% travel to dealer partners and trade shows. Annual salary is $150k/year.

Duties and Responsibilities:
-Other duties may be assigned.
-Develops and executes comprehensive sales objectives, go-to-market strategies, advertising, and promotional programs aligned with company growth goals.
-Leads and is accountable for achieving overall revenue, margin, market share, and distributor performance objectives.
-Builds, scales, and manages a high-performing sales organization, including field representatives and inside sales teams.
-Establishes clear sales territories, coverage models, quotas, and performance expectations aligned with strategic priorities.
-Implements and enforces a disciplined sales management cadence, including pipeline reviews, forecasting, performance dashboards, and regular business reviews with the customers.
-Establishes marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives across, distributor, and end-user channels.
-Partners closely with Operations, Engineering, and Finance to align demand planning, inventory, target, pricing, and new product launches.
-Evaluates customer research, market conditions, competitive dynamics, and distributor performance, and adjusts sales and marketing plans accordingly.
-Oversees all marketing activities, including demand creation, brand standards, brand building, distributor representation of products, website, and lead generation.
-Coordinates budgets, forecasts, and reports on sales performance, product mix, pricing trends, and channel profitability.
-Develops and executes distributor programs, incentives, and training initiatives to drive sell-through, brand consistency, and customer satisfaction.
-Makes data-driven recommendations to executive management regarding opportunities to maximize sales, distributor productivity, channel expansion, and pricing optimization.
-Builds and maintains senior-level relationships with key distributors and strategic accounts.
-Drives adoption of standardized sales processes, CRM usage, and performance metrics across the organization.
-Develops clear KPI’s for both the Sales and Marketing organization
-Ensures consistent execution of sales processes, distributor programs, and brand standards across all markets and regions.

Management Responsibilities
-Directs and coordinates the activities of all personnel involved in the Sales and Marketing Department.
-Recruits, develops, mentors, and evaluates sales and marketing leaders to ensure a high-performance, accountability-driven culture.
-Conducts regular performance reviews, succession planning, and talent development initiatives.
-Provides leadership, coaching, and accountability to manufacturing representatives, distributor -facing teams, and channel partners.

-Demonstrated best-in-class sales management and leadership experience, including building, scaling, and leading high-performing, multi-region sales teams.
-Strong experience working within distributor -based distribution models, preferably selling heavy equipment, industrial products, or similar capital goods.
-Direct experience with or selling through distributor networks is strongly preferred.
-Proven ability to manage forecasting, pipelines, pricing strategies, and distributor performance metrics.
-Exemplary communication, organizational, negotiation, and analytical skills, with the ability to influence at the executive and distributor level.
-Bachelor’s degree preferred.
-Minimum of 10+ years of progressive sales and marketing leadership experience, including strategic planning, P&L ownership, sales force management, and distributor or channel sales.
-Experience managing regional or national sales organizations within complex distribution environments is preferred.
