CNC Machinist

Trillium Staffing has an immediate opening for a CNC Machinist in Peoria, Illinois!

The CNC Machinist is responsible for manually setting up and operating the CNC machines to produce precision metal parts. This role requires knowledge of tooling, fixtures, programming adjustments, and machining processes. 

Essential duties and responsibilities will include:
• Operating CNC mills, lathes, and machining centers.
• Performing set-ups, programming edits, and tooling & fixture changes. 
• Using mathematics and precision instruments to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Monitoring operations, performing quality checks, and making adjustments. 

The CNC Machinist is a first shift position, 7am – 4pm, Monday through Friday. Saturday overtime is possible. Pay will range from $25 - $28/hour based on experience. Positions are full-time and temp-to-hire.

Qualifications
- HSD or GED
- 2+ years of CNC experience with vertical & horizontal lathes, mills, & machining centers
- Strong knowledge of tooling and fixturing
- Experience with G & M Codes 
- Experience using micrometers and gauges as well as reading blueprints
- Ability to pass pre-employment screenings
