Warehouse Supervisor

Trillium Staffing is now seeking Warehouse Supervisor in Roanoke!

• Entry / Support/ Driver responsibility: $18 – $21/hr
• Experienced/ Driver responsibility: $21 – $25/hr
• Lead-level / Driver responsibility: $24 – $28/hr

The Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all incoming and outgoing material handling, inventory control, and shipping/receiving operations. This role ensures materials, tooling, and supplies are received, documented, stored, and issued accurately to support production and customer requirements. The Supervisor leads daily warehouse operations, maintains traceability standards, coordinates with carriers and subcontractors, and supports compliance with internal procedures and safety protocols.

Job Duties:
-Receive and inspect all incoming raw materials, hardware, tooling, and supplies.
-Verify shipments against packing lists and purchase orders; document shortages and reject damaged goods.
-Ensure complete traceability of all materials through accurate documentation of heat numbers, lot numbers, and certifications.
-Track, trace, and update status of inbound and outbound shipments using ERP software (JobBOSS preferred).
-Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct physical counts, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure proper labeling and storage.
-Pull, stage, and issue materials and hardware to jobs based on production scheduling requirements.
-Package and ship finished goods according to customer specifications and internal procedures.
-Prepare and verify all shipping documentation, including packing slips, bills of lading, and applicable certifications.
-Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery scheduling (UPS, FedEx, LTL).
-Perform local pickups and deliveries to and from subcontractors (e.g., anodize, plating, chem film, heat treat).
-Route incoming material for quality inspection prior to inventory release.
-Maintain secure and traceable records for both internal and customer-supplied tooling and fixtures.
-Oversee warehouse cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety and FOD (Foreign Object Debris) prevention protocols.
-Build shipping crates and containers; apply proper labeling for traceability.
-Maintain frequent communication with office staff, production, and quality teams on job status, shortages, and delivery timing.
-Manage RMAs (Return Material Authorizations) for vendor returns and nonconforming product.
-Monitor and manage shipping priorities and internal material flow to ensure on-time delivery to subcontractors and customers in coordination with production, planning, and quality teams.
-Foster a cohesive, team-oriented environment by maintaining strong communication and collaboration with production, quality, and office staff.
-Mentor and guide the company delivery driver to ensure timely pickups, safe transportation practices, proper documentation, and professional customer interaction.
-Support safety initiatives and participate in internal and external audits.

Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or shipping/receiving operations within a manufacturing environment.
-Familiarity with inventory management and ERP systems (JobBOSS preferred).
-Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and traceability.
-Working knowledge of shipping methods, packaging requirements, and related documentation.
-Ability to operate forklifts and lifting equipment safely and in accordance with OSHA standards.
-Strong communication and organizational skills with a proactive and team-oriented mindset.
-Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for local pickups and deliveries.
-Preferred: Experience supporting aerospace or defense manufacturing environments with AS9100/ISO 9001 compliance.
