AEC Electrical Engineer/Designer
Trillium is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer/Designer in Indianapolis!
This full-time, direct-hire position offers an exciting opportunity to serve as a technical leader in the planning, design, and delivery of high-performance electrical systems for diverse building projects.
We are looking for an engineer with 4+ years of experience who is passionate about innovation, collaboration, and sustainable design. The successful candidate will work closely with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure design excellence, code compliance, and seamless system integration from concept through construction.
Responsibilities:
-Design and develop electrical systems including lighting, controls, power distribution, photovoltaic, and fire alarm systems for various building types.
-Integrate sustainable, high-performance technologies and apply lifecycle thinking to improve energy efficiency and system reliability.
-Lead early-phase electrical design efforts such as facility assessments and master planning, ensuring code compliance and design integrity throughout the project.
-Collaborate with architectural, mechanical, plumbing, structural, and civil teams to deliver coordinated, interdisciplinary solutions.
-Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, respond to RFIs, review submittals, and support construction administration.
-Prepare accurate, constructable design documents in Revit along with all technical calculations and documentation required for code and LEED compliance.
Schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Annual salary is $85,000 – $90,000 DOE.

-Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology.
-Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in electrical and institutional design.
-LEED accreditation or other sustainability certifications preferred.
-Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit software.
-Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
