Trillium Construction is now seeking a General Construction Foreman for a direct-hire, long-term opportunity in West Chester, PA!

Candidates will travel but it is project based. If candidate resides within 1–1.5 hours, daily commute expected. If beyond 1–1.5 hours, overnight local stay required during rotation.

Compensation: $90,000 – $110,000 + benefits. Schedule is 10 days on / 4 days off rotation. During rotation: start time 6:00–6:30 AM, working 12–14 hour days (some lighter days).

Trillium Construction Services is seeking an experienced General Construction Foreman to provide onsite leadership and coordination for construction crews. This role serves as the primary point of contact for crew-related activities, with a strong focus on safety compliance, quality assurance, productivity, and schedule execution.

The Foreman plays a critical role in daily field operations, crew supervision, subcontractor coordination, and communication with project management, clients, and local authorities.

Key Responsibilities
Field Operations & Crew Management
-Lead, schedule, and coordinate construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors
-Communicate daily work plans and assign individual crew tasks
-Monitor daily production and maintain project schedule milestones
-Perform limited hands-on field support as needed (not a primary tools role)
-Walk all active work areas daily to monitor progress and assist with future planning
-Identify conflicts, delays, or constraints and communicate resolution plans to the project team

Safety Leadership
-Serve as the primary onsite safety leader for assigned crews
-Ensure compliance with OSHA, company safety policies, client standards, and local jurisdiction requirements
-Conduct and facilitate mandatory safety toolbox talks
-Identify hazards and proactively prevent unsafe conditions
-Participate in incident investigations and corrective action planning
-Ensure vehicle and equipment safety checks are completed

Quality Assurance & Compliance
-Perform daily quality control inspections of work in progress
-Ensure subcontractors execute work per contract scope and specifications
-Identify and document deficiencies and non-compliance issues
-Issue and track notices of non-compliance as needed
-Oversee punch list creation, tracking, and completion
-Ensure job sites remain safe, clean, and organized at all times

Planning, Scheduling & Budget Awareness
-Execute work in alignment with project plans and schedules
-Maintain daily communication with the Superintendent and Project Manager
-Assist in identifying scope changes, potential cost impacts, and schedule risks
-Review subcontractor production quantities for payment approvals
-Prevent unauthorized work beyond contracted scope

Meetings, Reporting & Documentation
-Lead subcontractor pre-construction meetings
-Attend project, client, utility, and jurisdictional meetings as required
-Prepare and submit daily reports and daily photo documentation
-Ensure all project documentation is accurate, timely, and stored per document control protocols

Supervisory & Leadership Responsibilities
-Provide onboarding and orientation training for crew members
-Support professional development and ongoing training
-Address and resolve crew performance or personnel issues
-Maintain accountability, morale, and productivity standards
-Participate in performance evaluations and staffing recommendations

Qualifications
Required:
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Minimum 5 years of experience in construction supervision (Foreman, Superintendent, or similar)
-Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations
-Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and utility maps
-Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
-Proficiency with basic computer applications (Microsoft Office)
-Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred:
-OSHA certification (or ability to obtain)
-Experience with construction software such as Bluebeam, HeavyJob, GPS/GIS systems
-CDL preferred
-Construction management degree or certification a plus

Working Conditions
-Field-based role with outdoor work in varying weather conditions
-Physically demanding environment including standing, lifting, and walking job sites
-Exposure to noise, dust, and hazardous conditions requiring PPE
-Extensive automobile travel may be required during project rotations
