Physical Security System Adminitrator
Trillium Professional has a direct hire opportunity in Detroit, MI for a Physical Security System Administrator. This role is 100% onsite.
This pivotal role primarily focuses on the administration of physical access control, video surveillance, and visitor management systems. A significant emphasis is placed on ID badge credentialing and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. This Administrator will serve as the primary point of contact, providing first level support to internal customers for credentialing requests, access modifications, and access control troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will combine strong interpersonal skills, a meticulous approach to security operations, and an unwavering commitment to delivering outstanding service to all campus customers.
Responsibilities Include:
-Serve as the primary point of contact for all access control, video surveillance, badging/credentialing, and visitor management services, providing exceptional customer service to all.
-Responsible for the accurate creation, issuance, modification, and deletion of security badges and access credentials.
-Administer and manage the day-to-day operations of the physical security access control system, with a primary focus on user and credential management.
-Provide first and second level troubleshooting support for physical security access control, intrusion, video surveillance, and visitor management systems, addressing application, database, and hardware-related issues.
-Collaborate with field technicians to troubleshoot and resolve issues with physical security access control hardware (e.g. card readers, door hardware).
-Investigate application logs and system events to identify and resolve potential issues within the access control, video surveillance, and visitor management environments.
-Liaise between software and hardware vendors for support, troubleshooting, and system investigations related to physical security systems.
-Generate and provide reports related to badging, access events, and visitor activity as required by management or security protocols.
-Maintain system user accounts, passwords, and licenses specifically for access control and visitor management applications.
-Assist with the development, update, and maintenance of an in-depth system runbook for physical security systems.
-Participate in an on-call rotation as required to support critical security system operations.
-Ensure strict compliance with all security policies and procedures related to access control, badging, and visitor management.

Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
-A minimum of 2 years of experience in physical security systems, access control administration, or IT support with a focus on customer satisfaction.
-Experience with PC operating systems, basic networking concepts, and client/server systems.
-Demonstrated ability to learn and navigate various application interfaces effectively.
Preferred Competencies:
-Strong knowledge of physical Access Control Systems (ACS) and associated software platforms; familiarity with visitor management systems.
-Proficiency with Windows Server and Windows 11 operating environments.
-Possess a sound troubleshooting process to diagnose and resolve system/application issues efficiently.
-Proficiency in database querying and basic administration, particularly with SQL Server Management Studio.
-Ability to write and execute basic SQL statements for reporting, data manipulation, and troubleshooting purposes.
