Construction Manager
Trillium Construction is now seeking a Construction Manager of Solar Projects for work across Virginia!
Annual salary is $110,000 – $125,000 (DOE). Statewide travel is required and per diem is available depending on the project.
The Construction Manager leads field execution for distributed generation solar PV projects (<20MWac), with full responsibility for safety, quality, schedule, and budget performance. This role serves as the primary on-site leader, coordinating subcontractors, inspectors, and project stakeholders to deliver successful projects.
Key Responsibilities
-Serve as primary jobsite point of contact
-Lead daily field operations and subcontractor performance
-Enforce safety, environmental, and quality standards
-Coordinate inspections, site logistics, equipment, and materials
-Drive schedule adherence and productivity across trades
-Maintain accurate daily reports, photos, and documentation in Procore
-Identify and escalate cost, schedule, and constructability risks
-Support preconstruction planning and subcontractor readiness
-Lead issue resolution and field coordination

Qualifications
-High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s preferred
-2+ years of experience in solar, electrical, civil, or general construction
-Strong understanding of construction drawings and field execution
-Experience managing subcontractors and inspectors
-OSHA 30 preferred
-VA DEQ / Responsible Land Disturber certifications a plus
-Proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Office
-Strong communication and leadership skills
-Commitment to jobsite safety, including stop-work authority
