Account Inventory Manager
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Merchandising & Outside Sales Representative to support our customers throughout the Twin Cities area.
This role focuses primarily on in-store merchandising and inventory support (75%), with outside sales and account growth responsibilities (25%). The ideal candidate enjoys working independently, building relationships, and being hands-on in customer locations.
Key Responsibilities
Merchandising & Account Support (75%)
• Service customer locations by stocking, organizing, and maintaining fastener inventory
• Set up and maintain bins, racks, vending systems, or point-of-use fastener programs
• Ensure product presentation, labeling, and organization meet company standards
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to prevent stockouts
• Identify opportunities to improve product mix, usage efficiency, and organization
• Act as the primary on-site contact for day-to-day customer needs
• Communicate customer feedback, usage trends, and issues to internal teams
Outside Sales & Business Development (25%)
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing accounts
• Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within assigned territory
• Introduce new fastener products and solutions to customers
• Assist with pricing discussions, quotes, and basic negotiations
• Support new account onboarding and expansion of existing programs
• Collaborate with internal sales and operations teams to grow revenue
Schedule & Work Environment
• Full-time, Monday–Friday
• Local travel within the Plymouth / Twin Cities area
• Combination of customer sites, driving, and occasional office work

Qualifications
• Previous experience in merchandising, route sales, industrial sales, or fasteners preferred
• Mechanical aptitude or familiarity with industrial/fastener products is a strong plus
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Comfortable working independently in customer locations
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical, hands-on work
