Human Resources Assistant
We are seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused Human Resources Administrator to support hourly employees and daily HR operations in a manufacturing environment.
This role serves as a key point of contact for employee questions, maintains accurate HR records, supports benefits administration and payroll processes, and assists with safety and compliance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
-Serve as a primary HR contact for hourly employees, answering questions related to benefits, payroll, policies, and general HR matters
-Maintain accurate employee records in the HR Information System (HRIS), including personnel data, compensation, benefits, attendance, and training
-Process benefit enrollments and changes for health, dental, life, disability, and retirement plans
-Support hourly hiring, onboarding, and new employee orientation
-Assist employees and supervisors with payroll inquiries, benefits explanations, and short-term disability processes
-Track and administer FMLA requests, documentation, and notifications
-Conduct HR and payroll audits as needed
-Maintain personnel, medical, and training files in compliance with recordkeeping requirements
-Support safety initiatives, including administration of safety shoe and safety glasses programs
-Assist with employee events, recognition programs, and engagement activities
-Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMPs, and AIB requirements
-Perform other HR-related duties as assigned

Qualifications
-Associate’s degree in Human Resources or a related field with at least 1 year of HR experience in a manufacturing environment, or
-High school diploma with 3+ years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment
-Bilingual in English and Spanish (highly preferred)
-Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
-Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
-Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; HRIS experience (ADP preferred)
-Basic knowledge of employee benefits and HR compliance practices
-Ability to build positive working relationships with hourly manufacturing employees
