Construction Superintendent

Trillium Staffing is now hiring a Construction Superintendent/Industrial Refrigeration for a direct hire opportunity in Dallas TX!

Job Summary:
The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all field operations to ensure construction projects are completed on schedule, in accordance with drawings and specifications, and with a strong focus on quality and job site safety. This role works closely with the Project Manager to coordinate subcontractors, manage schedules, and enforce safety and quality standards. Experience in industrial refrigeration projects is strongly preferred. Pay rate is $50-$60/hr.

Key Responsibilities:

Field Operations & Site Setup
—Establish job site facilities and coordinate required assets with the Project Manager
—Set up and maintain job site security as required
—Coordinate with local building and permitting officials and manage inspections
—Receive, review, and maintain all contract documents and onsite files
—Review plans and specifications for constructability and communicate issues to the Project Manager

Scheduling & Subcontractor Coordination
—Assist with subcontractor and supplier selection
—Conduct subcontractor start-up meetings to review scope, schedule, safety, and quality expectations
—Monitor purchasing and material delivery schedules
—Develop and manage short-term look-ahead schedules
—Lead weekly progress meetings with subcontractors and the Project Manager
—Coordinate daily on-site activities to ensure efficient workflow
—Monitor job progress for schedule compliance and workmanship quality
—Review submittals and shop drawings for compliance with project documents

Safety & Loss Control
—Implement and enforce the site-specific safety plan and corporate safety policies
—Conduct weekly jobsite safety inspections and complete safety checklists
—Address safety topics during progress meetings
—Immediately report and investigate incidents to prevent recurrence
—Ensure all work complies with OSHA and company safety standards

Quality Control
—Support subcontractor bidding and awarding with a focus on quality requirements
—Conduct pre-construction and pre-startup meetings to outline quality expectations
—Verify installed work meets contract documents and quality standards
—Confirm insurance compliance prior to subcontractor mobilization
—Complete daily quality inspections and checklists
—Coordinate testing and inspection agencies
—Review subcontractor daily inspection reports
—Perform punch-list inspections and oversee close-out activities
—Complete IMP sign-off as required

Administrative Duties
—Prepare and submit daily construction reports
—Submit incident and accident reports immediately to management
—Verify executed subcontracts, bonds, and insurance prior to work commencement
-Distribute meeting minutes for weekly subcontractor meetings

Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent construction experience required
-4–7 years of experience in commercial, industrial, or refrigeration construction
-Experience with industrial refrigeration systems preferred
-CO? (carbon dioxide) or ammonia refrigeration experience is a plus
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
-Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Working Conditions
-Work performed primarily on active construction sites
-Exposure to heavy equipment and varying environmental conditions
-Ability to work in extreme temperatures (above 100°F and below 32°F
