The Maintenance Supervisor (Maintenance & Reliability Supervisor) is responsible for planning, organizing, scheduling, and reviewing maintenance work. This role oversees maintenance activities, ensures equipment reliability, and leads a team to achieve operational excellence. Supervisors will train, guide, and evaluate employees while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
-Supervise and plan installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and processes within the facility.
-Implement new equipment technologies for manufacturing and quality improvements, including upgrades, tooling, and process technologies.
-Coordinate product and process design changes and collaborate with management, production, and other departments.
-Investigate equipment failures and unexpected breakdowns; provide corrective actions to improve reliability and performance.
-Establish and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs using automated software tools.
-Monitor parts inventory and ensure cost efficiency within departmental budgets.
-Lead continuous improvement (CI) initiatives and report progress to management.
-Ensure equipment and processes run optimally at all times; provide technical support to production teams.
-Facilitate selection of contractors and suppliers to minimize costs and ensure timely project completion.
-Enforce compliance with safety, environmental, and legislative requirements.
-Maintain team motivation and a strong safety culture while minimizing risks of accidents and pollution.
-Perform administrative functions such as reviewing reports, enforcing rules, and assisting in purchasing decisions.
-Participate in purchasing maintenance materials and outside technical services per company protocols.
-Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings internally and externally.

Qualifications & Skills
-Hands-on maintenance experience in heavy automated manufacturing is REQUIRED.
-Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, mechanical, and robotics systems.
-Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and ladder/function block logic.
-Working knowledge of industrial PCs and PLCs (Siemens Step 7, Beckhoff Twin Cat) and electric circuitry.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong interpersonal and communication skills.
-Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities; detail-oriented with strong time and project management skills.

Education & Experience
-Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field OR equivalent work experience.
-2–3 years of supervisory experience in maintenance or reliability roles.
-Experience in highly automated manufacturing environments preferred.
-Familiarity with ABB robots and fabrication experience is a plus.
