On-Site Safety Manager

Trillium Construction is now hiring a Safety Manager in Austin, TX! 

We are seeking an experienced On-Site Safety Manager to lead all safety planning, compliance, and field execution for a large-scale Amazon construction project. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing safety programs for commercial or industrial construction and will serve as the primary on-site authority for worker safety, incident prevention, and OSHA compliance. Pay is up to $60/hr.

Key Responsibilities:
-Oversee, implement, and enforce the project’s Site Safety Plan for a crew of approximately 60 workers.
-Ensure full compliance with OSHA regulations, company standards, and Amazon-specific safety requirements.
-Conduct daily site walks, hazard recognition, and corrective action follow-up to maintain a safe work environment.
-Lead daily safety briefings, toolbox talks, and weekly safety meetings with site personnel.
-Perform and document Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), risk assessments, and safety audits.
-Manage incident reporting, investigations, root-cause analysis, and implementation of corrective measures.
-Coordinate with project management, subcontractors, and Amazon safety representatives to align safety priorities.
-Maintain accurate records of training, inspections, permits, and all project safety documentation.
-Ensure all workers receive appropriate onboarding, PPE guidance, and task-specific safety training.
-Stop work when necessary to correct unsafe conditions or behaviors.
-Support emergency preparedness, evacuation planning, and drills.

Qualifications:
-OSHA 500 certification (required).
-5+ years of construction safety management experience; large commercial/industrial projects strongly preferred.
-Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, safety best practices, and construction operations.
-Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and coach teams at all levels.
-CPR/First Aid certification (preferred).
-Ability to maintain professionalism, build rapport, and lead by example on a busy job site.
-Proficiency in safety reporting tools and software is a plus.
