Ironworker - Per Diem Offered

Trillium Construction is seeking PEMB Ironworkers for a project in Palatka, FL to install metal roofing systems on Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMBs). 

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with roof panel installation, structural alignment, and fastening systems, with a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities
•    Install metal roof panels on PEMB structures according to project specifications, plans, and manufacturer guidelines.
•    Secure roof sheets using screws and fasteners, ensuring proper spacing, alignment, and weather-tight installation.
•    Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and installation manuals.
•    Work at heights using proper fall-protection equipment.
•    Assist with positioning and securing purlins, girts, and other structural components as needed.
•    Operate hand tools and power tools safely, including screw guns, drills, impact drivers, and cutting tools.
•    Inspect roof sections for straightness, flashing integrity, and correct fastener installation.
•    Collaborate with other crew members to maintain an efficient workflow and meet project schedules.
•    Follow all OSHA, company, and site-specific safety protocols.
•    Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment.

Pay rate is $35/hour plus Per Diem: $150 / day for all 7 days. Schedule: Mon - Sun, 70h+ / week.

Qualifications
•    Previous experience as an ironworker or metal building erector, specifically with PEMB roof installation.
•    Ability to work safely at elevated heights in various weather conditions.
•    Strong understanding of metal roofing systems, fasteners, roof pitch, and panel layout.
•    Proficiency with construction tools used for metal installation.
•    Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials.
•    Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality installation.

Physical Requirements
•    Ability to climb ladders, work on scaffolding, and stand/walk for extended periods.
•    Ability to lift 50–75lbs regularly.
•    Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons.

Work Environments
•    Construction jobsite with active equipment and elevated work platforms.
•    Requires use of proper PPE including hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, harness, and fall-protection equipment.
