Accounts Payable Clerk

Trillium Construction is hiring for an Accounts Payable Clerk in West Chester, PA to work with a nationwide utilities and telecommunications contractor.

Qualified candidates will be responsible for all clerical tasks related to payable transactions.

Duties:
-Review all invoices and check requests for accuracy, appropriate documentation, and approval prior to payment
-Sort and distribute all incoming mail
-Process invoices into accounting purchase order system for approval
-Prioritize invoices according to payment terms and aging
-Process all check requests
-Audit and process all reimbursable expenses and credit card bills
-Respond to all vendor inquires – reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies
-Assist with month/year end closing
-Maintain all records and vendor files accurately in accordance with company policies and accepted accounting practices
-Assist managers with account analysis and reporting as required

Compensation:
-Hourly rate between $28/hr - $34/hr, or $60,000 - $70,000 annually

Qualifications:
-Knowledge of general accounting principles – specifically those related to accounts payable (1 to 3 years of experience)
-Knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Outlook
-Excellent communication (verbal and written) and problem-solving skills
-Excellent data entry and management skills while paying attention to detail and accuracy
-Strong organizational and time management skill
