Solar Installer

Trillium Construction is seeking reliable and motivated Commercial Solar Installation Technicians for work throughout the Fresno-Bakersfield, CA area!

Candidates should have prior solar installation experience and preferably have completed a trade school program in electrical, renewable energy, construction, or a related field.

Pay $23-$26 depending on experience.
Working Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm, 40-48/hours per week.
Duration 6+ months

Our projects include commercial, agricultural, dairy, ranch, industrial, and oil field solar installations. This is a long-term position offering steady work, competitive pay, and opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities:
-Install photovoltaic (PV) solar systems on ground-mounted and commercial structures.
-Assist with layout, assembly, and installation of solar racking systems.
-Lift, carry, and position solar panels safely and efficiently.
-Perform wire management and cable routing according to project specifications.
-Install conduit, junction boxes, combiner boxes, and related electrical components.
-Pull wire and assist with DC and AC electrical connections.
-Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely.
-Read and follow construction drawings, site plans, and installation instructions.
-Assist with trenching, equipment staging, and site preparation.
-Conduct quality checks to ensure installations meet company and customer standards.
-Maintain a clean and organized job site.
-Follow all OSHA, company, and client safety requirements.
-Work effectively as part of a team in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.

Qualifications:
-Previous solar installation experience required.
-Trade school graduate preferred (Electrical, Renewable Energy, Construction Technology, or related field).
-Basic understanding of solar PV systems and electrical principles.
-Experience with commercial, agricultural, industrial, or utility-scale projects is a plus.
-Ability to read tape measures and basic construction drawings.
-Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
-Ability to work overtime and occasional Saturdays as project schedules require.
-Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.

Physical Requirements:
-Ability to lift and carry solar panels, tools, and materials weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
-Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work outdoors for extended periods.
-Comfortable working in industrial, agricultural, ranch, dairy, and oil field environments.
