Quality Manager

Trillium Staffing is now seeking a Quality Manager in Eaton Rapids for direct-hire!

Reporting to the General Manager (with a dotted line to the Director of Quality), this role oversees the Quality Management System (QMS), supports plant teams in achieving high product quality, and ensures customer satisfaction through defect-free delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
-Lead and develop the Quality team; oversee training, scheduling, and performance reviews.
-Serve as primary customer quality contact; maintain strong relationships and ensure timely resolution of complaints and corrective actions.
-Maintain and improve the QMS; ensure compliance with internal and external audits and certifications (e.g., IATF 16949).
-Partner with Production and Engineering to drive process capability improvements, reduce scrap/rework, and support continuous improvement activities.
-Support new product launches and ensure timely completion of APQP deliverables.
-Lead and guide problem-solving activities (CAR/8D) to meet deadlines.
-Manage departmental budget and report on key performance indicators.
-Perform additional duties or special projects as required.

Authority:
-Make hiring, development, scheduling, performance management, and purchasing decisions within company policy.
-Approve travel and project-related expenditures for Quality staff.

Key Contacts:
-Internal leadership teams, OEM customer quality representatives, suppliers, business development, and legal as required.

Qualifications:
-Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
-Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
-Knowledge of IATF 16949.
-Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
-Ability to travel as needed.
