Sheet Metal Installer

Trillium Construction is seeking Sheet Metal Workers for a project in Ayer, MA to assist with cutting into and modifying existing ductwork inside a commercial cooler environment.

The ideal candidate will have proven skills working with HVAC sheet metal systems, strong attention to detail, and the ability to perform safe, efficient work in temperature-controlled spaces.

Key Responsibilities
•    Safely cut into and modify existing ductwork within a commercial cooler
•    Measure, mark, and prepare materials using appropriate shop and hand tools
•    Install, secure, and seal sheet metal fittings, transitions, and penetrations
•    Fabricate or field-adjust sheet metal components as required for proper fit
•    Coordinate with project leads to verify scope and proper system tie-ins
•    Ensure work meets project specifications, industry standards, and building codes
•    Maintain a clean and organized work area inside cooler and surrounding workspace
•    Follow all site safety requirements, including PPE and lockout/tagout protocols
•    Communicate material needs, project progress, and issues to supervisor

Pay rate is $33/hour. Schedule: Mon - Sat, 50h / week.

Qualifications
•    4+ years of experience in sheet metal or HVAC installation
•    Proficiency with cutting, snipping, fastening, and sealing sheet metal systems
•    Ability to safely use tools such as shears, saws, drills, snips, and grinders
•    Understanding of ductwork components (e.g., round/rectangular, transitions, penetrations)
•    Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and layout drawings
•    Knowledge of jobsite safety practices and HVAC trade standards
•    Comfortable working in cold-storage environments
•    Ability to lift 50+ lbs
