QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST

Trillium Professional is now seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist for work in Buena Park, CA!

This is 100% onsite. The annual salary is $55-60K per year.  Maybe some flexibility depending on how much experience. Hours: Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:30pm.

The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all products and processes meet internal standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements. This role involves monitoring, documenting, and improving quality systems across production, sourcing, and distribution to maintain compliance and drive continuous improvement.

Essential Functions

You must have excellent communication and organizational abilities as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills to perform the following:
-Implement and maintain quality control procedures, including inspections, testing, and documentation.
-Conduct product quality checks during receiving, in-process, and finished goods stages.
-Assist in the development and execution of SOPs, quality manuals, and training materials.
-Investigate and document non-conformances (NCRs), including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPAs).
-Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards (e.g., FDA, USDA, SQF, HACCP, GMP).
-Work with cross-functional teams (Production, R&D, Procurement, Sales) to ensure product and process quality.
-Manage and update quality documentation and records for audits and certifications.
-Prepare for and participate in internal and third-party audits.
-Support customer complaint investigations and assist in developing solutions to resolve issues.
-Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to quality.
-Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of testing equipment.
-Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the organization.

Wants and Preferred Skills:
-Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
-1–3 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, or manufacturing industry.
-Knowledge of quality systems and regulatory standards (SQF, HACCP, GMP, ISO, FDA/USDA).
-Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with ERP o a plus.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
