Safety Manager

Trillium Construction is seeking a dedicated Safety Manager to join the safety team of a large, well-established contractor in Taylor, Texas.

The Safety Manager will play a vital role in promoting workplace safety by conducting inspections, implementing safety programs, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and standards. Hourly pay is between $45/hr - $53/hr, working approximately 50 hours per week.

Duties:
-Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of equipment, facilities, and work areas to identify potential hazards
-Ensure the workplace complies with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local regulations
-Investigate accidents, near-misses, and unsafe working conditions, providing thorough documentation and recommending corrective actions
-Assist in the development and delivery of safety training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors
-Evaluate potential risks and develop preventive measures to reduce incidents and injuries
-Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training activities

Qualifications:
-Associate or bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field is preferred
-Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
-Previous experience in a safety or compliance role is highly desirable
-OSHA 30 Certification required
-Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety software
-Ability to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
