Fabrication Welder
We’re looking for an experienced Fabrication Welder to join a well-established metal manufacturing facility in Hilliard, OH.
Pay: $28.82+/hour (based on experience). Shift premium is $1.50/hour.
Schedule:
- Monday - Thursday, 2:30 PM - 1:00 AM
- Fridays off! Overtime typically available and optional.
- Training provided on 1st shift (4:00 AM – 2:30 PM) for approximately 1–2 months.
The ideal candidate will have strong MIG welding skills, experience with fabrication and assembly, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform welding and assembly operations in a fabrication environment using MIG and, ideally, TIG welding processes.
- Work with materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Interpret layouts, blueprints, and work orders to determine weld specifications.
- Lay out and mark weld points; position parts and subassemblies using jigs, fixtures, measuring tools, and hand tools.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials as needed.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate PPE at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support production goals.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in welding or fabrication, preferably in a steel or industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong MIG welding experience required; TIG welding experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and follow detailed work instructions.
- Experience with forklifts and overhead cranes preferred.
- Must be able to pass a skills-based assessment (reading, math, inspection, and measurement).
- Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. and meet standard vision and mobility requirements.
- Willingness to participate in structured onboarding and training programs.
