Heavy Equipment Assembler

Trillium Staffing is hiring a Heavy Equipment Assembler in Morton, IL!

In this hands-on role, you’ll assemble large machinery and components by reading blueprints and following detailed specifications. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical background, works well in a team, and takes pride in producing high-quality, finished products.

What You’ll Do:
• Assemble parts and subassemblies following engineering prints and work instructions.
• Safely operate overhead hoists and lifting equipment to position heavy components.
• Perform quality and performance testing on engines and electronic systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues during final inspection.

Schedule & Pay:
• Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm
• Pay: $20–$28/hour, DOE
• Full time, temp-to-hire opportunity

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required
• Strong mechanical aptitude, preferably with heavy or farm equipment
• Comfortable using hand and power tools (wrenches, impacts, torque wrenches, etc.)
• Ability to read and follow blueprints, drawings, and instructions
• Prior experience assembling heavy equipment or agricultural machinery
• Familiarity with hoists, cranes, and hydraulic systems
