Welder - Per Diem Offered

Trillium Construction is seeking experienced Tube Welders for a project in Kingsport, TN, specializing in the fabrication and installation of 316/316L stainless steel tubing. 

This role involves working with high-pressure and instrumentation tubing used in steam lines, chemical transport systems, and other corrosive or high-temp applications.

Key Responsibilities
•    Perform high-quality welds on 316/316L stainless steel tubing, ensuring structural integrity and leak-free connections.
•    Utilize appropriate welding processes including: GTAW (TIG Welding) – primary process
•    Accurately measure, cut, and fit tubing to specification using precision tools.
•    Read and interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, and technical specs.
•    Maintain clean and sanitary welds, particularly in sensitive or chemical-related areas.
•    Follow all safety procedures, especially related to high-pressure steam or chemical systems.

Pay rate is $34/hour plus Per Diem: $100 / day for all 7 days. Schedule: Mon - Sun, 80h+ / week.

Qualifications
-Pre-employment screenings
-5+ years experience welding stainless steel tubing in industrial settings (preferably papermills, refineries, or chemical plants)
-Proficient in TIG welding with high-quality root and cap passes
-Experience with purge setups and clean weld procedures
-Ability to pass weld tests (ASME or client-specific procedures)
-Familiarity with 316/316L stainless properties and handling requirements
-Strong focus on safety, quality, and cleanliness
-Must be able to work in elevated areas, confined spaces, and hot environments

Preferred
-Orbital welding experience (for sanitary or high-spec installations)
-OSHA 10/30 certification
-Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
-Previous papermill or process piping experience
