Construction Superintendent
Trillium Construction is now seeking a working Field Superintendent for overseeing in Austin!
Responsibilities – Working Field Superintendent Overseeing I-Line Crew
Specific Duties:
-Coordinate equipment placement (switchgear, panels, transformers) using drawings/layouts.
-Direct layout and installation of underground or overhead feeders.
-Oversee and often assist with feeder pulls using tugger machines, rollers, etc.
-Supervise termination of large conductors into gear (requiring torqueing, labeling, torque logs).
-Ensure all gear is installed per manufacturer and NEC standards.
-Coordinate inspections for gear installation (pre-pour, rough-in, final).
-Communicate with utility providers or service contractors for energizing main gear.
-Ensure all arc flash and lockout/tagout (LOTO) safety protocols are followed.
-Maintain tight tolerances and high precision for critical path items that affect overall job scheduling.
Responsibilities – Working Field Superintendent Overseeing Branch Crew
Specific Duties:
-Interpret prints and mark up for conduit runs, outlet/device box locations, and J-box placement.
-Coordinate routing of branch conduit to avoid conflicts with other trades.
-Assign crews to specific zones or areas and supervise rough-in of branch circuitry.
-Supervise and assist with:
-Cutting, bending, and installing EMT/MC cable
-Pulling THHN wire for circuits
-Installing devices (receptacles, switches, etc.)
-Hanging and wiring lighting fixtures (possibly on lifts or scaffolding)
-Confirm circuit labeling and panel schedules are followed and updated.
-Ensure lighting layouts and emergency circuits meet code and design specs.
-Coordinate with lighting controls vendors and commissioning teams (if applicable).
-Help troubleshoot non-functioning circuits or mismarked panels.
-Ensure temporary power and lighting is maintained during build.
Schedule is working 48-58 hours per week, M-S. Immediate opportunity and job will last through project that ends in March. Will be a working lead for a 10-15 team crew. Pay is $40-$50 per hour BOE.
